Every year, we look forward to the annual GIST Cancer Research Fund Conference and Luncheon at OHSU’s Knight Cancer Institute, to reconnect with each other and share insight about the latest treatments for GIST. In addition to our ongoing effort to find a cure for GIST, it is vital to all of us in the Heinrich Lab to foster a community of collaboration and education for researchers, physicians, patients, and families. We want to express our sincere gratitude to the GCRF for another generous donation to our research efforts to find a cure for this devastating disease. This year’s presentation is ready to view for patients and families who were unable to attend the conference. Together, we can defeat GIST!
We are proud to announce that our very own Homma Khosroyani, a PhD candidate in the Cancer Biology program at OHSU, was recently awarded a prestigious Best Poster prize at the 2023 Annual CTOS (Connective Tissue Oncology Society) Meeting in Dublin, Ireland! Her poster was entitled “Predicting Imatinib responses using in vitro models of PDGFrA-mutant GIST.”
